Eek! Methinks not is PERFECT!!!
I "WAS" a client of this broker but proud to say no longer. I will start by saying that the two agents they employ (specifically Maria) were a joy to deal with & were so helpful on every occasion. However, the management & lower level assistants are horrific. I had been put on hold several times &/or promised my message would be forwarded & accompany a return call for nearly a week before I had to just go in to get anywhere with them. I was actually told by the owner that I am not allowed to make ANY changes to my policy (Auto) whether upgrade or downgrade due to a slew of unfortunate claims Ive had. She even stated that I could not renew my Rental policy that had lapse recently due to my having recent Auto claims (one of which my wife was injured in but I got no sympathy). She said about 4claims inside of a 3yr period is HIGHLY UNUSUAL & forces her (Not the Insurance Agency but her business specifically) to basically freeze my policy in its current state. She went on to say that if I went without any claims (none of which I was liable for & none of which involve actual driving just comprehensive) for a 2yr period that we could revisit the matter. I was needless to say APPALLED! To suggest someone not use their right as an insured client to file a claim when an accident, theft, or damage occurs simply to please their insurance BROKER in my opinion is not only unethical but likely illegal. I have been with this agency for nearly 4yrs & the insurance company nearly 10yrs & have always treated them with respect & high regard but to have them turn my trying time of misfortune into an even larger ordeal is beyond egregious & I highly recommend anyone considering this company go elsewhere!!! What people do in a crisis says a lot about their character & considering this came from the top it speaks VOLUMES!!! I was assured by the INSURANCE COMPANY they represent & I am with that this was not indicative of their sentiments nor a reflection of where they stand in whole or in part as my insurance company & had to apologize on her behalf. This is a sad case that I felt needed to be shared with the public as I work too hard & have been through too much recently to have been treated this way by someone that is SUPPOSED to be an ADVOCATE for me in these times.
