I was a customer for over 10 years and I have to say I have never been more disrespected in my life. I have been given the run around since September 2023 about inaccurate claims under my policy. I was told “we will find out and call you back”, “Susan is going to call you back”, “we will call you back today”etc. Today I called to follow up and was transferred to Steve who identified himself as the co-owner. He started yelling at me he could not help me because I was no longer a customer ( switched to another company last September because we were being overcharged for insurance and this new company made us aware of insurance claims under our names that were inaccurate ). He stated could not see anything in the system ( I was able to see all the claims in the portal even of people I didn’t even know) I explained this to him and he continued yelling, interrupting me when I tried to talk. When I asked him to please not talk to me like that and that this is not how you treat a loyal customer of over a decade he replied “Well, you were a customer for 10 years, thank you very much”. I had to pick up my daughter from school during the phone call and other parents were looking in horror as to the way he was talking to me. I had to pause to compose myself and he continued yelling that how dare me putting him on hold. I put my husband on the phone and my own husband had to call him on his disrespect towards me. This is not a company I will recommend anyone.

To answer to your comment below- If you take a look at your records you will noticed we always paid our auto and home insurance for the whole year in full. We were never on a month to month payment. Lying about us having “billing issues” to make your company look good on a review does not only make you lose credibility but also the respect of your customers and their business.

I wished you would have listen to the conversation I had with Steve. You cannot misinterpret when someone is disrespecting and yelling at you sir.

We called and communicated to your company we had switched to another company. The problem is that there is poor communication among you. Just like when I called numerous times when we found claims that were not made by us with other customers names and was told someone was going to call me back and never heard from anyone.

And to correct you again- we didn’t have a last “billing issue”, we switched to another company. Not sure if you were expecting us to continue paying after cancelling our policy with you.

I have been a happy customer of Lydon Murphy for over 20 years, for home auto insurance. They have ALWAYS been most helpful whenever needed. Recently we had an issue with an RMV renewal for one of our vehicles and I was at my wits end trying to solve it. My representative Diana went above and beyond to help me. Through email and phone conversations she was incredibly helpful, professional, positive and patient in all our interactions. She even followed up to make sure that I had resolved the issue on my own, which I would not have been able to do without the information that she provided to me. I have been a customer for probably 20+ years, sort of by accident. I initially signed up with them for my auto insurance because they were across the street from the car dealer and I needed Insurance right away 🙂 . I had every intention of changing it to my local agent at some point. But year after year, whenever I needed anything, a form to be sent, some sort of verification, they always, ALWAYS came through for me in a timely manner, professional, courteous, responsive and have gone way above and beyond in a few instances for me. I now have my home insurance etc. with them as well. Never gave me a reason to change it. Whenever I need to contact them I never get that sense of dread we all sometimes get when dealing with companies we have to deal with involving paperwork etc. What a score for me that I found them! Highly recommend-you won't ever be disappointed.

As I was dealing with water pouring through my window after a snowstorm at my condo, I called Lydon and Murphy Insurance to talk about filing a claim because as a new homeowner, it’s not something I’ve had to do before. They immediately filed a claim for me (at 4:45pm no less!) and the next day, the insurance adjuster was here looking at it! So pleased with how quickly, professionally, and kindly they helped me out during such a stressful time. I seriously can’t recommend them enough!!

Lydon & Murphy is one of those rare exceptions who not only "say" the customer comes first but actually live up to the claim. Take last night, for example: my agent was on the phone for over an hour getting an insurance company to admit they were at fault in a billing dispute. I ask you: how often have you won an argument with an insurance company?
