20+ Year Customer—Extremely Disappointed with State Farm
I’ve been with State Farm for over 20 years and my mother 30 years probably.

Originally, Craig Struble was our agent, and later the agency transitioned to Marissa Johnson. I’ve maintained a spotless driving record and have never filed a claim in all that time.

Today, I received an email stating that $215.42 would be debited from my account—up significantly from last month’s premium of around $157.00 over 33% jump or more and before $110.00 a month it just keeps inching up.

As a safe driver with a long history of loyalty and no claims, this sudden increase feels completely unfair.

What made the situation worse is that I called the agency to discuss the increase—but it was Friday around lunchtime, and the office is closed on Fridays etc Really?. How convenient.

You’d expect better availability from a Trillion Dollar company handling people’s Insurances - finances and protection.

Let’s be honest—these agents earn hefty commissions. How do I know? I have clients who work for State Farm, and companies that Insure Insurance companies. I understand exactly how the system works, and it's frustrating to see good drivers like myself pay more and more, while the industry continues to profit.

It seems like responsible policyholders are now covering the cost of broader risk pools, fire-related claims, and outdated regulations that have nothing to do with our own behavior. After two decades of loyalty, this is incredibly disappointing.

Like I said I called into discuss this Increase today Friday at noon and Closed on fridays nice having a 4 day week!

I highly recommend Marrisa Johnson for all of your car insurance needs. She provided me with 10 times the liability auto insurance coverage for 2/3 the price of what I have been paying with my previous carrier for a year. Marissa was very efficient in gathering my information over the phone and signing up was fast. She has been a personable, patient, and helpful professional who made the process of switching auto insurance carriers seamless. I really appreciate the superior level of customer service that I received. The bottom line is that I now pay 30% less per month for much better car insurance and I feel safer driving now. I have had such a great experience with Marissa Johnson. When my State Farm agent retired I was re-assigned to Marissa. She reviewed all my coverages and made good suggestions where I might be under-covered, and also where I had too much coverage and could save money. She is very knowledgeable, cares and is super engaged in what she does. On top of that she is very personable and great to talk with. Could not be happier with this change!! If you are looking for a new agent I highly recommend her.

Like most people, I got insurance through a big company that offered a bundle discount and thought insurance companies were all the same…robotic responses, minimal effort, and terrible customer service. That is until I decided to go with Marissa Johnson with State Farm. I have no words to describe the differences. Marissa and her team are amazing. They reply within a few hours, they have MY best interests in mind…let me say that again…MY best interests in mind. Not what’s best for some big insurance agency, but what’s best for me. I seriously never thought I could love my insurance agents but here I am absolutely loving them.

I had Farmer’s before I switched to Marissa with State Farm. She was able to get me more coverage with a lower deductible for my new car. She is very personable and easy to talk to. She answered my questions fully and patiently. She has been doing the insurance thing for years and it shows. She made me feel heard and understood regarding the coverage I was looking for. She was even able to set up automatic withdrawal so I would not forget to pay my monthly bill. I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for insurance. She’s fantastic.
