Matthew and Ilda are super easy to work with. From Day 1, Matthew's been crystal clear with his explanation. I particularly appreciate that he can draw up different scenarios in his little nifty web tool to explain things. We talked to a couple other lenders prior and found that the two other simply verbalize things, as opposed to writing things down neatly in a table to do comparison. As a visual person, being able to see the information in a tabular format was particularly helpful. He was patient throughout all the scenarios we asked him to calculate.

Matthew's also really good about distilling financial concepts into easy-to-understand terms. As a first-time home buyer, the ability to communicate financial concepts and discuss tradeoffs (e.g. buying points down vs not) was an important trait that we're looking for. From start to finish, Matthew and Ilda were prompt in addressing our needs and questions, even though many of our convos needed to happen in the evenings. They're a big part in making our home purchase go smoothly! They're also well-connected with other local professionals (e.g. home insurance officers), which also made it easy for us to compare home insurance quotes.
