We’ve had an absolutely horrendous experience with Mercury Insurance and would not recommend anyone utilize them for home insurance under any circumstances. I’d go as far to say if you have them and have been fortunate to not make a home insurance claim yet, you find another company before you are trapped into “working” with them.

We had an incident occur in our primary bedroom closet on September 6th and to date have not had our claim fulfilled due to continued run around along with lack of agent experience & poor communication from our claim agent, LaQuan Stallworth. Mercury failed to provide their preferred contractor after requested and is unable to give clear information on what our current contractor needs to provide in order for our claim to be closed. If we could drop them and work with a new insurance company immediately we would but unfortunately we’ve been told now that the claim is open, we would be hard pressed to find another insurance company that will bring us on for damages that occurred prior to.

Mercury tells us one thing, the contracting company another & acts on none of it in between, claiming the photos attached do not provide enough evidence to support the invoicing from the contractor to complete repairs. They finally “assigned” their preferred contractor on Monday (the 3rd contractor we will have worked with) and has not expedited anything to schedule yet another walk through for estimate of repairs. Since September this has forced us to sleep on the couches in our living room with an almost 7 week old without full access to our bedroom, hot water upstairs and a large hole in the ceiling between the closet & the bathroom from the water leakage. I was also 9 months pregnant when this happened and Mercury is fully aware of our situation while doing practically nothing to make sure their customer is taken care of. I wouldn’t trust them with anything but especially your home in an emergency. When asked who I recommend for home insurance, I know exactly who I will tell them to avoid and that is Mercury Insurance Co.

I have been with this company for 6 months and when it was time to renew my policy it Double the amount it was originally with No notice and unauthorized. I have now spoken to 3 agents and a supervisor and no one wants to do the right thing and return the portion of the money that wasn't authorized back into my account I'm getting all different types of excuses to why the policy went up like it did and a whole bunch of different Excuses to why they won't return my money unless you have money to throw away and you don't care about your money I would not recommend this company. FRAUDS!!!
I would have given them ZERO stars if it was available!!! I don't ever do reviews but it was needed for this company so No one else will become victim to theft!!

I bought the deluxe warranty two years ago for my Chevy Silverado. This warranty was suppose to cover all non-wear mechanical parts for the vehicle for the life of the warranty. This week I had to get the vacuum brake booster pump replaced which works in conjunction with my brake master cylinder and power brake assist boosters. Come to find out that the master cylinder and power brake assist boosters would be covered, but the vacuum brake booster pump that works in-between the other two parts was not covered. Very disappointed with this service for such an expensive warranty!
