I’ve used Molly Maid for almost two months for bi-weekly cleaning. They advertise services such as:

Sanitizing all surfaces, including showers and sinks

Dusting shelving and surfaces

Wiping down furniture

Sweeping and mopping floors

Vacuuming all flooring

Tidying up the area

Wiping appliances

Unfortunately, my experience has been far from consistent. I’ve had to call back about three times due to unsatisfactory cleans.

Showers: Items were moved around but the shower itself was not actually cleaned.

Bed making: I would leave clean sheets in a pillowcase to be put on the bed, but they would instead make a pillow out of it and not make the bed.

Dusting: One of my main concerns from the start. Shelving and surfaces were often left dusty, which was the reason for most call-backs.

Floors: I was told they do not own a broom and do not sweep under the refrigerator because it requires moving it—which isn’t true in my home. There was an orange spill on the floor that remained after two requests to clean it. My pantry was never properly swept or vacuumed, just had a mop run over it.

Vacuuming: They say they vacuum all flooring, but when I asked about under the fridge, I was told it’s not done.

Tidying: My counters were left out of place after cleanings.

Appliances: The only appliance I have ever seen wiped down was the microwave.

The most surprising part was a recent call telling me they do not wipe down handrails or baseboards—despite these being done before.

Overall, the service has been inconsistent, and several advertised cleaning tasks were either skipped or partially done. For the cost, I expected a more thorough and reliable clean.

I never ask for help and when I do I'm let down. #Refund me please

The final charge on my card was not what I was quoted initially. No final breakdown or reasoning for why; no emailed receipt, no follow up from main company (unable to discuss anything with cleaning team due to language barrier). "Deep cleaning" was disappointing. While all of the surfaces planned for were indeed touched, things were just wiped down rather than actually scrubbed and cleaned. For example, where something was spilled and dried down on the stove or a cabinet handle, they just wiped over it without actually scrubbing it off. Very spotty over all.

Re: "We reached out to you to inform you of this and received your approval for the extra 30-45 minutes."
No one reached out to me to discuss anything financial at any point during the visit. One of the cleaners called me and said they would be done in an hour because I had to step out for an appointment. Nothing was disclosed in terms of extra charges during or after the visit; unfortunately language barriers were a large limiting factor during the whole service. Communication from the company was overall sparse. I did receive a receipt for the service several days after I posted the initial review. This time also including photos of the after of the cleaning. Just like you wouldn't go to an expensive but mediocre mechanic or restaurant or beauty salon twice, I do not intend to use any remediation services from this company. This cleaning was done prior to me having people over so it made no sense to call them back after the guests had come. Just had to rush clean the rest ourselves.

I use Molly Maid several times a year to help me maintain the basic cleaning I already do myself. This is my first time leaving a review for Molly Maid. Yorgelis and Maria (team #77) did an AMAZING job. I’ve never had a team clean under area rugs or wipe down the washing/dryer machine!! I’m not sure if you can request certain teams when booking but I will be trying to request team #77 on my next booking.

My appointment fell through the cracks when I had to move the date. These incredible people went into emergency room and sent a team out in an hour to clean the whole house after the movers left. They worked as a well oiled machine and left everything perfect (and no chemical smells)
Absolutely recommend this crew
