Our family rented a property that was managed by Jyl full time while we looked for a place to buy. Jyl went above and beyond helping us find a home with our 3 dogs. In the year that we were renting, we had the usual maintenance items come up: leaky window, broken pump in clothes washer, etc. She was very responsive and had fix-it folks out quickly. She took the time to meet with us while we were home shopping to share her property management experiences and help us shape our expectations for buying a second home. At one point in the process, when we were considering renting in another neighborhood before buying, Jyl even found a homeowner and negotiated another year lease for us! I could not have been happier working with Jyl for the past year. We will gladly use her services again, as renters or as homeowners.

I am appalled how this property manager has disregarded an emergency situation for my elderly neighbor and in my opinion boarders elder abuse. There is no excuse in my opinion how Jyl ignored the situation, which has caused so much discomfort and anxiety for my elderly neighbor. It makes me so sad to witness how someone could LACK so much empathy.

I met Jyl 7 years ago, when she was showing a rental home that I was interested in. I was going through a very difficult time, and needed to find a home for my teenage daughter, myself, and our pets. I fell in love with the home, and just knew it would be perfect for us...the only hitch was that the owners preferred to have a pet-free tenant. Jyl met my pets, then went to bat for me with the owner, who very graciously agreed to make an exception. All these years later, I'm still in the same (rental) home of my dreams. There have been very few problems, but the few that have come up have been dealt with quickly & professionally. I highly recommend Jyl and Mountain Property Management for any of your rental needs.

Update 02/16/20...At the end of October 2019, I moved from the place I had rented from Jyl, and would like to add what an awesome help she was as I prepared to move out of the rental mentioned above. The move was emotionally stressful (I really loved that home), with multiple PG&E power outages in the mix, delaying cleaning efforts & appointments (carpets). Jyl worked with the owners & got them to agree to extend my move-out date a week (rent free) so that I could get everything finished. She even pitched in on helping me patch walls, and after I had finished, painted some of the patches, and repaired a lock on the sliding door that I had forgotten to fix. She went above & beyond her duties as a property manager, and those final touches made it possible for me to get my entire security deposit back. In addition, Jyl wrote a glowing letter of recommendation to my new landlord on my behalf. I'm so very grateful for Jyl's help & professionalism, and highly recommend her as a property manager.

I would like to express how wonderful our experience has been with Mountain Property Management and owner Jyl Bayer. Jyl has been our property manager for over 6 years. Our cabin in Arnold CA sleeps 22 people so we have many larger group rentals. This has been tricky at times with so many people coming and going. My family and I were considering moving to Sonora but after trying to work with several of the property management companies there, we were constantly be jerked around by them so we decided to broaden our search to include the Arnold area as well, and that's when we stumbled upon Mountain Property Management. Boy did we luck out! The gal that helped us ( I believe her name was Jyl) was extremely patient and helpful in our search as we had many wants for our ever growing family. She was able to find us the perfect place in a wonderful neighborhood. We have been very happy in our rental with no plans to leave anytime soon!
