Jon Clark and his company, Nauset Management, is/are wonderful Cape Cod institutions. I work as a broker in commercial real estate in Manhattan and have a lot of real estate and facilities management experience. I believe my mother was one of Jon’s first clients, and he has protected our family home ever since. He is eminently patient with our “to-do” lists, and when I close the door and head back to Manhattan, I have no qualms that Jon will do just as I requested, on time, on budget, and (I suspect) by rigidly exacting a pound of performance from his contractors. He has the art (the h is silent – maybe this is his special power) of effortless adjustments that always catch what I missed (or neglected to tell him) so that our house, our home, is always protected and well cared for. When I return, the porch light is on, the house is warm, and I can breathe a sigh of relief to be home again knowing that no surprises await me. I recently also had the pleasure of working with Jon on a real estate sale of a family home. The situation was fraught with tension and emotion, as “family” real estate transactions are apt to be. Jon handled all sides fairly, carefully, tenderly, but at the same time honestly and professionally. He knows the market and his opinion of value was realistic and spot-on in real time – invaluable attributes in any real estate transaction. Jon is in a league of his own and I recommend him highly as a real estate broker, a home watch supervisor, and as a human being.

"He makes all the work disappear." This is what I told my wife as I relayed my experience working with Jon Clark on the sale of my parents' house in Orleans. There are a bevy of things to take care of when selling a house, whether it's final water meter readings or repairs necessary after the buyer's inspection. Jon just makes all of them happen - truly incredible! I was selling the property from out-of-state, too, so I appreciated this even more. Jon's extensive property management experience and contractor contacts really came into play for a house that needed some work.

I was very pleased on how we established the listing price. Jon strikes a careful balance between offering his thoughts and ensuring the client is in the driver's seat. That also extended to how he advised me when a short-fuse offer came in before the first open house. If you're not buying and selling all the time, playing this high-stakes game is a bit nerve-racking. Jon offered great coaching and counsel. And he's extremely available and always willing to do whatever is needed - that really helped.

In the end, the house was sold quickly at a great price. I couldn't ask for more.

For many years, my parents hired Jon to keep an eye on their house when they travelled. When it was time to sell, we added him to our list of potential realtors. Other than being too optimistic about the selling price, which we did not temper enough, he did a great job of taking care of or providing referrals for repairs, handling an uninvited critter and all of the details of completing the transaction since we were out of state at the time. My wife and I originally hired Jon at Nauset Management to do a home watch service on our Cape property. 4 months after we were gone , we spoke to Jon about selling our Cape house . Jon got all the paperwork done and on the market quickly . Jon not only had the best commission deal , he took care of a house cleaning , need for updated smoke detectors, clean up of a bunch of leaves , a water bill and some miscellaneous other issues .
In the end he got us a good price and a very painless sale.
