If I could give -5 stars I would. I have called 12+ times because my card keeps getting declined when I travel. I told them I was traveling the first time. I have been traveling for months. Yet it is declined non-stop to the point I cant use it. I even visited the financial branch on 36th, talked to SVP Thompson who promised it was fixed(though he never followed up nor seemed to even care). Fixed it on the 14th, declined started declining again on the 16th. The card services people on the phone also are completely useless, they wouldn't even tell me if my card can work out side Alaska. You also cant call a branch directly anymore. So good bye to an old Denali customer....and those commas in our account.....

Follow up.....4-22-25. After a phone call with some manager in California that supposedly manages the Alaska District, he assured me you would fix it. Local manager called me, assured me it was fixed. They did at least follow up several times to ask if it was first. First day worked, next day broken, again. Even after chatting with the CEO (thanks for the message), it still won't work. Your manager suggested we change the billing address to another State....so now we are at 15 phone calls and no resolution.....It will be faster to just move my money.....cheers

Explicitly telling the teller that I want it the remainder to go towards the principal and I thought I was but turns out Nuvision in Walmart on debarr actually does it the correct way and Nuvision at midtown just messed up doesn’t show what remainder goes towards the principal just say 720 payment but debarr Nuvision show what remainder goes into it

I’ve been a member of Nuvision (formerly Denali) Credit Union since pre-COVID. I chose to become a member because of their competitive rates for used car loans. I was happy to discover they paid decent interest rates on savings accounts and had competitive CD rates and other products. If you want to move your money electronically from Nuvision CU to another financial institution, they charge a moderate fee. So, to access my money for free, I go into the branch and get a cashier’s check. Due to my most recent in-branch experience, I will be double checking every move any future employee makes when servicing my account. I’m considering ending my relationship with Nuvision Credit Union due to an error made by an employee. I signed for my cashiers check, got the receipt, and walked out of the branch. I go to cash the check, only to discover I had been given somebody else’s check, for a different dollar amount than I requested, and the check wasn’t in my name. I immediately called the branch to speak with an employee, only to be connected to a call center agent who wasn’t in the branch. The employee was able to call the branch and cancel the original cashiers is check. When I returned to this Nuvision branch, thankfully they were still open and the employee recognized me when I walked in. The explanation I received was there was a mixup on the printer and that another employee mistakenly grabbed my check. What if that had been an envelope of cash? How does this happen? My name isn’t Spruce View Apartments. My request to speak with a manager was ignored. Their mistake was promptly corrected and they apologized for the mixup. The call center employee did not believe my story until I read the check number to them. If the penalty to close my accounts wasn’t so expensive, I’d remove all of my money from this bank and take it elsewhere. If you do business with Nuvision Credit Union, double check every statement, every transaction receipt, and any correspondence. Otherwise, you might walk out of the bank with an $18 check instead of the $4,000 you withdrew (and the receipt confirms it). Still in shock this happened. If you need a car loan and Nuvision has the best rate, go for it. They are great to work with and zero penalty for paying the loan off early. If you need anything other than a car loan, good luck and check your statements. Between employee mistakes and ridiculous fees, you might find yourself with less money than you expect.

UPDATE 05/09/2024: Nuvision called me and discussed what happened. I appreciated their professionalism on the call and the recognition of their mistake. As such, new rating is 2-stars vs old (original) 1-star. Mistakes happen and they caught it before it became a real issue. They committed to investigate what happened and provide staff training on this incident. I’m happy with the resolution.

No tellers in branches, teller counter completely vacant. Disembodied voice from a back room yells out to wait. Wait for what? Wait for Who? Nobody is coming!!! Kiosks are what we are expected to use even when we are standing there in person to conduct business.

Today I’ve been on hold for over 30+ minutes (still holding) trying to reach a branch that I can walk in to close my account and take all my money and banking business elsewhere. But yet, I’m on hold with a Lower 48 phone number. Never had someone answer. Somehow got disconnected after waiting 45 min. Seriously, NOVisision😞. Been a member for over 43 years. I’m done, time to move on to a place WITH VISION and CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I have nothing but positive things to say about this bank! I’ve been a member for over 8 years. They are always so helpful in explaining anything and everything. And they have the best rates on cd’s in this state!! They are the only bank I trust with my money. The Eagle River branch is the Best. Everyone in there is always smiling happy and greet you when they see you..

Loved Denali Alaskan. Banked there for 30+ years! Nuvision has been a total nightmare. Customer service is still good but my debit card has been compromised 4 times in the last 4 months! I’m older and can’t stand for very long so they’ve taken away a comfortable waiting area so you have to stand in a line. Yes there are a few chairs but no way to keep your place in line! It seems more like a production factory than a friendly bank. I now it seems trivial but their debit card is flat out ugly. The first one I got had an orange edge that made it easy to find in my purse but the latest one doesn’t even even have that. All in all I don’t trust or even like Nuvision.

I have had a great experience with them! I didn’t have any problems with the tellers or any member of the bank! I feel you guys work from a different bank and trying for dénali to look bad! As a member.. I highly recommend to everyone! The rates have change and is low compare from before! I’m very grateful with Denali Nuvision I have been a new member since April 2021
