Nice store, abysmal service. Was completely ignored by the 5-6 employees mostly just restocking shelves or lounging in the couch area they have. Worst part: they hang their clothing in racks that have two levels, and I was visibly struggling to reach the clothes up high, yet NOBODY came to ask if they could help. I guess I deserve it because like all other Patagonia customers I’m a snobbish douche, so it’s really only fair that I need to deal with snobbish douches at their store…

The Patagonia store in Santa Monica, CA is located in the shopping district at the 3rd Street Promenade. This store is a large two-story retail shop with all of the trending beach colors within its apparel selections for men and women! The staff is super cool and laid back. It’s a great store for LA trending sportswear.

We had the pleasure of meeting Monty at the Patagonia store in Santa Monica back in February, and we’re still thrilled with everything we bought! Monty’s expertise and genuine approach made all the difference. He guided us to choose exactly what we wanted and needed, and now we regularly use the items we purchased—and love them. We bought quite a bit, and every piece has been worth it! What’s even better is that we often think about Monty and his excellent advice when we use the products. He truly lives the spirit of Patagonia and made our experience unforgettable. Thank you, Monty!

Edit : November 2024 - the store has the same manager and undoubtedly just the same bad retail experience. I went into the store and was watched the whole time, like I was a shoplifter. There political views are likewise contradictory, having liberal policies and demonstrating a penchant for tolerance and civility; but it manifests as a sleight of hand and a hypocritical posture.

There casual wear clothes are poor construction and don't hold up well and the fit is seemingly confusing. Most of the brand manufacturing is done oversees in less than ideal conditions on the back of an exploited workforce.

When the owner divested the company he gave his kids $100 million in a trust the rest of the $900M went into an endowment so he could avoid paying taxes and control environmental and political views from the grave.

[This was originally posted during the Santa Monica Riots] To the manager. - I went there just now, to return my pants but the store was open. they are looting your store. The rioters are Running out with jackets, surfboards, pants. Pulling up cars and hopefully they won't burn the store down, but I did see hundreds of people running out of the store. Sorry for your loss. You might want to board up the windows. Every window is broken. They did the same thing to the REI store. The police are guarding third street but fourth street is getting destroyed, and going up in flames.
