After the security attack I thought I mind as well stay with Patelco to see how these issues are resolved. One problem I've had with the business itself is that they made all funds unable and gave out no information for almost a month. Bc of this they approved any transactions that went through despite me approving them or not and having withdrawal protection (meaning if I don't have the money they won't approve of the transaction). This put me in debt and I was unaware of it because I didn't have access to my account. Once the security issue was "solved" they charged me all the transactions and made me sign a loan agreement to pay it back with interest when in reality I tried to protect myself from being negative in my account. I don't think they have their members priority or best interest any more it's truly sad. They charged us for their f-up and then I'm still having to deal with my personal information being sold on the dark web. It's a disaster.
As well as after this I went into the Livermore location today with a Cashiers Check to deposit it into my account and I was denied my money for a full week until they "secure the funds". It's a Cashiers Check it's basically cash why would you hold it for so long without any percentage being availableuntil they confirm it. It comes secured. So after running through hoops just to get my money and going to the HQ in Dublin I was told that the Branch Manager at this location took it upon herself to put a hold on my secured funds for an extended period of time without any explanation besides I'm a "suspicious individual" and this is to protect me (with all of my legal documents in hand Real ID, Birth Certificate, Bank info and cards) and the bank. I am a young African American with dreads with multiple years experience with Patelco and no red flags on my account.
Please you tell me what is so suspicious about me. When I went to another branch they cleared my check in a minute and forty seconds and sent me on my way with a receipt. No Hassle.
I went back and asked why she did it she said she isn't going to explain all of our procedures and basically took it upon her self to hold my money. And yes she called me suspicious to my Face.
I would never go to this location again and would recommend anyone to find a different bank who takes security seriously and holds their customers best interest.

My mother was a long time member with Patelco. After she needed assistance with her affairs I began to understand why. They have excellent customer service and the staff looks out for their members. My family highly recommends Patelco CU. Thanks for the care and attention you provided my mom over the many years she was a member.

Thanks Fabiola G. Rodriguez very professional. I rushed in 10 minutes before they were closed and Fabiola still helped me with a personal loan. The cashier next to her wasn't so friendly telling me to get their earlier but I won't get her trouble.

I really am grateful to her for her assistance / support in opening a checking account, Direct Deposit and possibly closing of my Wells Fargo accounts. On Friday I’ll have money again but my credit has been significantly affected by the last two years of chaos & drama.

Friendly staff. Knowledgeable about products that the credit union has for the customer. Better rate than my former bank Chase. No monthly service charges like B of A that really hurt a person finanises. The reason i gave then a 4 star instead of 5 is their hours of operations.

Not sure why credit unions boast about this CO-OP BS or even just being convenient. The only bank open after 5pm (I'm sure I'm not the only person who works until 5pm) is Patelco and they don't reciprocate the CO-OP but you know for damn sure their members use other banks CO-OP. I'm so done with these banks, nothing but disappointment. I hate to sound like I'm 100 years old but banks didn't use to be like this. There was a time when they were helpful, although "bankers hours" was a thing and still is I guess....

I have been with Patelco Credit Union for well over 40 YEARS being Single, through 2 marriages and beyond! I absolutely loved Patelco and this ransomwear , Malware that attacked an institution like Patelco is unimaginable. I really thought my account was secure and I actually read somewhere that some credit unions (being a not for profit) focus on their members more than security and this is a testament to that. I also know Patelco made changes to there website and in doing so maybe left them vulnerable to attack (maybe) who know but, what I do know is I can’t pay any of my financial obligations without making myself vulnerable by giving out my information to several creditors instead of using my bill pay service. They are hurting its members in multiple ways!!! I spent hours on the phone with creditors and no one even knows about Patelco breach and Patelco has NOT BEEN VERY TRANSPARENT!! WHO are they working with to fix this issue? What’s taking so long more than 2 weeks and counting and they are refusing to give me my money! Seriously ? I wouldn’t be surprised if they loose 20%!of there clients! This may just bankrupt or cripple them. This is unacceptable!!! I am lost for words and this should be a wake up call for us all to have back up accounts or go with an institution that takes security precautions more seriously!! Unfortunately it’s not Patelco as I lost confidence in them .
