I am so disgusted with this place. I hired them to do my personal and business taxes, business accounting and payroll. Before hiring Theresa I explained how I was looking for someone who would offer better communication with me and help guide my business financially. And most specifically, I explained that I kept getting big tax "surprises" at the end of each year because I wasn't prepaying enough tax to the government throughout the year. Well, with Pegasus, things got much worse on all fronts. She would almost never return my calls, never helped by mentioning PPP loans, periodically checking my company's status and withholdings; she almost completely ignored me throughout the year. She never bothered to send us paystubs for our direct deposits so it took months to notice that they weren't taking out our 401k contributions. And then for taxes, she just one day gave me my completed returns and asked me to sign them. The tax return was missing several important deductions, including my electric car rebate, QBI deduction, and health insurance. She had never asked me any questions while preparing it, and I had to call her pretty much every day for a week and a half for her to finally return my call. After that she kept telling me I didn't qualify for the QBI deduction but declined to explain why despite me asking her via email about 5 different times. Since then I've had 3 separate accountants confirm that I do qualify for this. I was hoping for a possible refund at the end of the year, but instead I got another big tax surprise. I owed about 30K, plus another $10k for her services. I wanted to withhold the last 2K in payments to her as a result of the botched tax returns, but she insisted I pay and held the quickbooks backup (which I needed to give to my new accountant) hostage until I paid. So basically I paid her $10K to mess up my company's financials, and now I still need to pay a different accountant to amend the returns they gave me. I don't remember the last time I was so completely disgusted with any company.

I’ve been trying to get a refund from a nursing home in Texas that Pegasus is accounting. I have been told since May 5th and keep getting lies and excuses. Refund us now 90 days old. If they owe you a refund call the state.
