I had a small account with PlanMember, only $157. When I tried to close the account in October 2023, I submitted my paperwork through my broker as listed on the PlanMember website. I signed the forms (as can be seen in the email correspondence attachments to my broker), but PlanMember says the forms were not signed. That is inaccurate, and even if they believed it to be the case, they had a fiduciary duty to contact me to resolve any such matters. Presently, the account is worth $0.23 (twenty-three cents), with all of the money going to fees. I have not benefited one penny from this account, but PlanMember has lied and taken every penny, save for $0.23. I have the signed form in my email account so there can be no doubt the form was properly filled out and signed.

The response PlanMember sent below is absurd. I have spoken with them multiple times, to no avail. If they want to resolve this, the onus is on them to contact me in writing. Obviously, they are following the pattern they have established with many others: They say they want "exceptional customer experience," something at which they are failing miserably. Don't just take my word for it: Look at other reviews, even on other sites, and you will see how terrible an organization PlanMember is.

I contacted your Customer Service unit today regarding my recent transfer of financial accounts from one financial adviser to a new Company. this transfer was not totally without problems; There are Tax and communication situations that came up that I couldn't get EASY Answers to resolve these Questions. Your agents at the Customer Service (Josh and Rama) were so helpful and courteous and above all they showed me they care. I now have a better understanding of how your Company handles your clients business plus Josh and Rama took time to explain how the online web site can help me and how I can now gain access and use this tool. I am taking time to let you know these people were a " breath of fresh air'; I spent 40 years with the Ohio Bell Telephone Company {now ATT} giving my customer's telephone service so I'm well versed in what it takes to do this. I commend your 2 agents and whoever in your personnel department that educates your personnel and please let them know "keep up the great work".

As a client I’ve been very happy with their services. My Financial Advisor Blake Douvros is always on top of it and has laid out a retirement plan to get me retiring at the age I was looking for. Whenever I have questions he always gets back to me within the hour and explains everything. Happy with the rate of return for my managed account and how they rebalance for market corrections.

PlanMember Financial has exceeded my expectations for a company that handles my retirement account. My advisor, Dave Meckstroth, is always willing to help out when I contact him. He returns my calls/emails promptly. Any time I have called to talk to a representative on the phone, they are very courteous and professional. They answer any questions I have and are very knowledgeable.

After changing jobs, it took MONTHS of persistent proactiveness on my end to get a response allowing me to move forward with my PlanMember account. My emails went ignored for weeks at a time; when I did get a response it was practically: "Figure it out with your new advisor at your new job." I didn't have one.

I decided to switch to a different financial institution, and I am in month 11 of attempting to rollover my funds. It has been 14 months since I've been able to contribute to my account, but I have still been paying monthly service fees that have increased periodically with practically no notice, along with other fees that I did not agree to initially but were later implemented. My understanding is that there is no reason for PlanMember to be requiring what they are requiring, other than to essentially create obstacles for me to pull my funds out.

This company was terrible. They moved money without my permission. They botched almost every single transaction I ever made with them. The people in the call center are helpful, but that doesn’t make up for the incompetence. I also understand they just lost a class action lawsuit. They even made it difficult for me to leave after I finally had enough. Good bye, I won’t miss you. Returns were also meager.

It’s the worst PMS a person can experience....

I was having issues with receiving and printing certain documents. I phoned the Plan Member's service center. A young woman was most
patient and helpful. She is both competent and pleasant. I am an 80
year old woman so I truly appreciated her attitude and support.

When we transferred our assets from PlanMember to Vanguard, the Vanguard representatives were appalled at how PlanMember was not following basic industry (and FINRA) standards.

If you ever want to get your money back out from them, expect it to take a few extra months. They will do everything in their power to ignore requests and drag their feet. For all those people trying to get your money, don't hesitate to report them to FINRA, as that usually results in more prompt action.

The user interface is atrocious.
