An Exceptional Experience with Seltser & Goldstein Public Adjusters
I’ve never been more thrilled to share a review than I am for Seltser & Goldstein Public Adjusters and the two outstanding individuals I worked with: Robert Brown Sr. and Robert Brown Jr. These individuals saved my family from a devastating financial calamity.

In early February, Massachusetts experienced a period of unusually cold weather combined with high winds. At that time, my in-laws’ home had been unoccupied for several months as both elderly homeowners were hospitalized with serious illnesses. Tragically, the cold weather caused a water pipe on the second floor to burst, resulting in extensive damage to the upper floor and severe flooding on the first floor.

A neighbor noticed water pooling in the driveway and alerted us. When I arrived at the house, I was horrified by the extent of the damage. After the fire department turned off the water and utilities, I immediately contacted the insurance company to report the loss.

My in-laws had faithfully paid their insurance premiums for over 50 years and had never filed a single claim. To our shock, the insurance company refused to honor the claim, citing allegations that the house had not been checked frequently enough while it was unoccupied. This was completely untrue—my wife and I had regularly conducted walk-throughs of the property.

The insurer’s refusal to pay for the necessary repairs left us in disbelief. The damage amounted to several hundred thousand dollars, and my wife’s cherished family home was effectively ruined. The stress and pain this caused were unimaginable.

Thankfully, this horrific experience ultimately had a happy ending—entirely due to the expertise and dedication of Robert Brown Sr. and Robert Brown Jr. Through their hard work, persistence, and deep knowledge of insurance laws and claim processes, they compelled the insurance company to pay for a complete renovation of the home.

Without the Browns and the team at Seltser & Goldstein, we would have been left without hope. This experience taught me a crucial lesson: a policyholder should never face an insurance company alone when the claim involves significant damage. The water meter at my house recently malfunctioned and flooded my finished basement. I reached out to Seltzer & Goldstein, and they couldn't have been faster or more responsive to help. They instantly called a remediation company to remove the water and dry out the basement to prevent mold. Jeff Maciorowski was very helpful and responsive at all hours of the day to ensure that my wife and I understood the entire process and what would happen every step of the way. Bob Brown worked wonders to make sure that we received the proper compensation for our damage. After receiving a low initial quote from the insurance company, Bob made sure that a different adjuster came back to reinspect the damage and got us the additional funds that were needed to complete the repairs

We had a terrible experience with this insurance adjuster. Their handling of our claim was extremely poor and resulted in significant financial loss for my family. We trusted them to represent our interests, but instead, the process cost us thousands at a time when we have two kids in college. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend their services.
