With the serious problems of rates going crazy, it's all the more important your rep keeps up to date. Despite many calls/messages regarding my car insurance hikes and home insurance (over $8500 from $2900)I never got a call back. I finally got an email basically telling me in so many words... "tough luck." I just paid my insurance but am looking for another brokerage. Will not be referring this one.

Although I was pleased with the service I received from Lori Sell Insurance my experience with the acquisition by Shepherd has been so aggravating that I will no longer will do business with them. I don’t believe enough effort was put into obtaining insurance for my classic cars at reasonable rates. I don’t believe the Shepherd agent put the effort in or was acting in my behalf because Safeco canceled my policy at renewal time through no fault of mine.I distinctly remember asking the agent to shop around for better classic car insurance pricing but apparently he chose to ignore my request to do so. Therefore, I canceled all my insurance with Shepherd and easily found affordable coverage elsewhere. Apparently, Shepherd Insurance doesn’t value its policy holders. It’s a shame because I had a high opinion of Lori Sell Insurance in the past. Even after giving a month’s notice of my cancellation of my policies, Shepherd has yet been able to finalize this simple request to do so.

I spoke to KORY at this insurance company and he got me a really great deal on my insurance. I converted three vehicles and my home all over to this company. Friendly professional and excellent rates. I rarely recommend anyone but I do recommend these folks..

Worst experience I have ever had with an insurance agency. We were trying to close a cash transaction through the title company and could not get the agent to cooperate with the escrow officer. Because the agent refused to issue the invoice because Auto Owners has to have a mortgagee to issue an invoice... our deal was cash... no mortgagee, so I hand delivered the escrow co check for payment only to find out later that the premium was $180.82 more because there was an error on the original quote. I am sure I will shop this when I have to get my auto insurance. Very sad because Bill Chilson was excellent with our commercial account.

Kim is missed. Been with house chilson for years but these guys could care less. Don't return voicemails and seem to off mid week. Will not be conducting anymore business with them.

Bought a new car and needed insurance so I called this business...Corey called back very quickly. ..off to a good start... he asked about other vehicles and my house and wanted information on them...told him I wasn't going to give him that info, just wanted a quote on the new car..... he told me if he couldn't quote them all he didn't want me wasting his time and didn't want my business....little did he know the reason I wanted this car to be independent from my other company...oh well I guess that's how you do business now days..called another company and got insurance....I would never recommend House Chilson to anybody.

This agency never answers their calls. They do not return voicemails. They are not in the office. They took over House Chilson and Lori Sells Agency. Very unhappy. They need to answer and return their calls.

I spoke with Kim on 7/27/20 requesting a quote for insurance as I purchased a new house. I have heard great things about this business so I thought I would give them a try. She got all the info she needed and let me know she would have a quote for me the following week. The next week came and I heard nothing. I asked my fiance to reach out to see what was going on and Kim told her she needed additional information. She never called and asked for anything so good thing we called again. She then said she would get everything together and get the quote to use soon. The next week comes and we call again, she is at lunch. Calls me back while I am at work and leaves me a voice saying she will have it done today or tomorrow and if my closing date changed from the 26th of August to let her know. It is now the 17th of August and my house closes next week. My lender is waiting for this info and I have heard nothing from her. I went with a different insurance place that actually got me a quote within a week. Thanks for wasting my time Kim!
