Very disappointed. I contacted Socotra Capital and spoke with Keith Torres and asked about the process to obtain a hard money loan. I explained what I needed the loan for and he immediately asked if I had the fifty thousand dollars require for down payment. I told him I could get it and after confirming that they do loans for properties in New Mexico he did mentioned they were only doing commercial loans at this time, to which I replied that on the website it advertises loans for Airbnb. So, he was like, let me find out about that and I will call you back. Its been almost a week and I haven't hear anything from him. I told my wife he wasn't going to call because he didn't even ask for my phone number or anything else. Well, long story short I found another company and I am working with them to finance a beautiful Cabin which I am going to be renting as an Airbnb. Socotra won't even give you the time of day if they think you won't be able to cover the down payment.
