As BKS/Baldwin Group has grown immensely in the last few years, they have implemented significant changes that negatively affect their business customers. The worst of these changes is delegating the management of many business clients to third-party "partners" such as BenefitMall. Baldwin is presented as (and in the past operated as) a "premium" broker, but the third-party partners are disorganized and unprofessional. After years of excellent service from BKS/Baldwin, it has been nothing but failure from the new account managers. Our renewals were forgotten entirely by Baldwin. Fortunately we are proactive and reached out to them to ask why the renewal process had not begun. Despite this, the new contacts waited until the last moment forcing a rushed renewal where we did not have sufficient time to properly assess all options. After this, they failed to properly transition benefits coverage, causing an overlap and double-billing during one period and a delay of other benefits resulting in no coverage for employees during another. Late and disorganized, difficult to communicate with, billing that you need to triple check and correct, putting your employee's healthcare and wellbeing at risk... Baldwin has gone from a top-tier broker that I would have recommended to anyone to a bottom-rung firm that only makes running your business more difficult.

Initially started off with BKS because I worked for Smith and associates and a colleague of mine who was at Smith and associates also worked for BKS and she was very knowledgeable. Her customer service was off the charts and very well appointed. Unfortunately after a year she moved on to bigger and brighter platforms and no longer was with BKS. Here I am 3 years later my insurance is now being canceled for no reason whatsoever we did not have any claims in the last 3 years and we are being told that our insurance is going From approximately $3600 a year to over $14000 a year. I understand the insurance business and things are escalating. Unfortunately I have tried to contact BKS and their customer service for over the past 4 months trying to get numerous "from other insurance companies and they have never responded. We are coming down to the fine line of our homeowners insurance expiring the end of April 2023. How convenient that they are now contacting me again I have already secured with another insurance agency who has decided to work with me at a moment's notice unlike BKS. I am also a real estate agent and a broker who used to refer all of my clients to BKS and I will no longer be doing this too bad for them.

BKS handles all of the insurance for my growing real estate business and the complicated issues that arise with workers' compensation. Even though my account is minor one for BKS, which services so many individuals and businesses throughout Florida and beyond, I am treated like a best friend or family member. It looks the BKS Tampa office is losing its credibility among clients. I'm one of the them. I'm not sure how the BKS works, but there are several agents are in a team, each randomly trying to service clients but the downside of it is that sometimes each agent is telling a different story, makes me confused.

Let me start off by saying that I am not a fan of purchasing insurance much less shopping for it. BKS has made me a believer that private risk advisors can actually be very engaged, helpful and supportive in finding the right programs for you. Michelle Couture has been our advisor and has not only been very insightful but also extremely responsive to all our needs.
