We recently worked with an absolutely amazing State Farm agent named Jennifer McPeters, through Trevor Jones' Yorktown, Virginia, State Farm office. Jennifer is the skilled insurance policy writer that we'd been hoping to find, to educate and guide us through the nuances of a variety of policy options.

We needed all-new homeowners and auto policies, because our previous carrier had increased our rates by 50%, even though we had been with them for 15 years, live in a low “disaster” area, and never filed a claim on either policy. Jennifer spent so much of her time and expertise helping us sort out the best coverage for all our needs; she even helped us with a new umbrella policy, and still managed to SAVE us over $4000 a year! To this day, the other insurance company can't explain why their rates for the old policies had increased so much. We decided it must be all the high-dollar celebrity endorsements they pay for 🙂

State Farm has proven to be the true “good neighbor,” just as they have always said. And Jennifer really has been a standout agent for us. We are now convinced that State Farm not only has the BEST coverage, but also has the BEST agents!

We contacted Trevor’s office early last year and discussed needing coverage for our sump pump, interior drain and exterior drain. Per his expertise, we were only told about adding a sump pump rider so we did. Move forward 13 months and our exterior drain failed and our basement flooded. Apparently, per the inspectors, we don’t have the appropriate rider to cover the outside drain. So now we are left with a loss when we relied on our agent to provide thorough and accurate guidance. We’ve switched agents and as soon as we did, the new agent knew exactly what rider we would have needed to cover the exterior drain. I don’t believe Trevor knows enough about the coverage to advise clients appropriately.

I've been with Trevor Jones State Farm for a long time. I have stayed with them even after I moved over an hour away because of their fantastic customer service and the best quote. I worked with Jennifer McPeters this morning. She is fantastic. She made it very easy adding my new vehicle to my current policy. Jennifer answered my questions and went over my policy making everything easy to understand. Not only was it a pleasure working with her this morning. The entire office has always been great! The office calls me every year to wish me a happy birthday, as well as sending a birthday card, and cards for the holidays. It's the little things like that that make a huge difference. We have been with State Farm for 2 years. Last Saturday we purchased a new vehicle called customer service to add the vehicle to our policy. The rep wanted to us pay 6 months of premium by credit card to add the vehicle to our policy. We declined because we didn't want two separate insurance bills vs one combined billing. I emailed Jennifer on Sunday evening to add the vehicle. She called me 9:00 am Monday and added our new vehicle and will be billing the new vehicle on a prorated basis until our next billing cycle.
