If I could give zero stars I would. The company dropped our coverage due to a new company policy of not servicing home insurance coverage no more. I can understand that. But the fact we received no notification whatsoever that our insurance was dropped so that we can buy another coverage.They are irresponsible. I would advise not to use this company they are scammers.

We have been with this company for several years now. We have a home that is only 1500 square feet built to current building code yet every year the rate goes up significantly. This year they increased 50%. Didn’t even think the state approved such increases. When we tried to talk to someone we could barely hear them and they refused to discuss our policy increase. Just said they wanted to be out of Florida in a year or two. Nice customer service. So they are obviously trying to get rid of existing customers by pricing them out. They said to discuss with broker which we hadn’t even used a broker last year to renew. A broker had to do the same - call them and ask why the increase. They were shocked. If we have a small and new home in one of higher areas of state and inland - can’t imagine a customer in higher risk area or one that had filed a claim. No wonder they are called Velocity - a lot of velocity in their rate increases.

scam company run for your dear life. These people went up on my insurance 3000 dollars, causing my escrow to go into the negatives. Never got a notice and honestly put me in a bad spot financially. I will be reporting you guys to BBB and filing any legal action necessary!! Might I mention never filed a claim with these scam artists. I had them for almost 3 years.

Went with Velocity because of cost, boy am I dissatisfied, they cashed , two checks, one was sent out on bulk and they said they never got, so because they were getting ready to cancel me I called my mortgage company and they sent out another check, well low and behold Velocity ended up with both checks and cashed both, so I'm suppose to get back the money from the first check from August 2019, still waiting. When renewal comes up I'll be shopping.

Bad company. I had a couple of properties that i switched over and they were both canceled and i had to go back to the original company. Ultimately it was a huge waste of time.

Shadiest company. Been with Velocity for 2 years - They sent the invoice to my mortgage company a week before it was due. And then cancelled my insurance policy when, of course, the escrow payment was late and then would not reinstate. I was told my Customer Service that the bill was sent late because they are getting out of residential home insurance and that by North Carolina law they had to keep current insured customers on for one more year. To get out of this requirement they intentionally delayed sending the invoice to my Mortgage company so that the payment would be late and they could legally cancel my policy. This company has zero integrity. Stay far away.

If I could give negative stars I definitely would. Do not use this company !!! Very rude ,abrasive , and non-caring Desk adjusters. These people will actually yell at you and treat you like a criminal just for asking to file a claim. Very , very poor job of sending checks and most of the time haven't sent them at all. I will be looking to change soon. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!!
