the TL;DR version- they ignored my requests to change the parts I needed them to change and tried to rob me by telling me the DPF filters in my truck were bad. They didn’t know they were 400 miles old. Then they stuck me with a 1500 dollar bill for work that I didn’t need to get done. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER attached are photos of “soot covered cracked DPF filters that need to get replaced with new ones”

The truck had the DPF filters replaced 400 miles before arriving to this dealer. Previous mechanic found soot in the tail pipe and took down the old filters, found they were both cracked and replaced them.

Truck derated again in kingman and had to get towed into this dealer. Before getting to the dealer , my driver spoke to the previous mechanic and read him the codes truck was showing. It needed an inlet nox sensor.

Velocity gets it into the bay, claims there are no codes but found soot in the tail pipe. I explained to them were the soot came from and that those DPF filters were just replaced. I asked them if they could change both inlet and outlet nox sensors and they said no because they have to check the DPFs. Against my better judgement I tell them to go ahead and they come back to me saying the filters are filthy and cracked. They’re letting soot through the substrate and will need new ones for the low price of 5700 dollars.

Asked for pictures and got some the next day. They sent me 4 pictures of the front of a filter. They scratched at the substrate and said that’s where it was bad. I asked to see the backs of the filters and they never got back to me. My driver went into the shop and got pictures. I in turn send those to two mechanics and someone that runs DPF alternatives. All three said absolutely do not replace those filters, they’re fine.

Asked velocity to keep the filters and change the NOx sensors they said they’re not going to do anymore work on the truck until I do what they’re saying. They put the truck back together and I had to get the original mechanic to come back out to do what I originally asked velocity to do.

Velocity dropping the DPF filters was completely unnecessary, I’m still stuck paying the bill for unnecessary work (plus new gaskets and clamps)

Stay away from this place. I have since found There are some reputable mechanics in kingman that will not attempt to rob you.

If I could give them a zero I would. Explained my problem in detail(oil leak) and they replaced the oil fill neck. Now, there was never any oil leaking from the top end or front of the motor, but they claimed it was “ready to go”. Drove 100 miles and it was apparent they’d not diagnosed or repaired anything. Sadly, the TA truck stop was way more qualified and capable than an actual dealership. This is the second Velocity repair facility that has ripped me off.

I offer two stars only because the job done was satisfactorily. The rest is a nightmare and a rip-off. First off, there are two labor prices. RV service costs more than trucks - same truck; a Freightliner is a Freightliner, a Cummins diesel is a Cummins Diesel. This shop charges $222/hour for labor on RVs. All I asked for was to have my A/C recharged. This is a job I can do on a car in less than a half hour. According to this rip-off outfit it took four hours. I looked out a window at least a dozen times and never saw the mechanic at my vehicle. Obviously he was in the shop working on someone else's vehicle. Then there was the excuse that they had to put a new air filter on for an accurate recharge of A/C coolant. True or not, they didn't consult me on this. All said and done the bill was over $900. I complained enough to shame them into knocking down that price, but still ended paying well over $700. I've dealt with other Freightliner franchises and not had a problem. This place needs to be fined and put out of business.

Very fast service got me back on road quickly. I had an easy fix was done in 3 hours. On con is the furniture was very uncomfortable in the lounge.

Service and parts department did a great job on a Saturday getting our truck back on the road the same day. Shawn at the service desk listened carefully and helped find the solution for us - he was great! We had to rent a car and go get the part from Vegas. Once we dropped off the part, they installed it in less then 30 min. Thanks for the support on a weekend.

Great people! My truck got a noice that seemed caming from the drive line. Two weeks ago I put my truck to fort worth dealership and they couldnt find any noice came from drive line. But that sound only came with a loaded truck. So my truck started getting that noice today and i wanted to know from where that sound was coming from. I was in Arizona and heading to Dallas. So I went to Kingman freihtliner dealership (Velocity ) to find out where that sound was coming from. Beard guy who worked at the service desk was so good. Without wasting my time, he came outside and found out that sound was coming out from drive line with a loaded trailer . Good job he did and i am soo appreciate for his help. Five Stars all the way!

I came here (01/11/24) hoping they would fix my box truck which had all 3 check engine light, they kept my truck for 3 days, when they supposedly fixed it, they called me and sent me an invoice of $3,200 when I called to ask about it they made it sound like it was a big thing, they changed over $2,400 of labor on $250 worth of parts only to get 2 check engine lights within 50 miles away, when I called I was told to take it back. My guess is that they didn’t know what to fix. And they just randomly picked stuff they could see. Stay away from this dealer unless you have money to throw away.

I made it there today when my truck started derrating for a def issue they diagnosed it pretty quick and had me out of there on a couple of hours… the lady’s and techs have a great attitude they were very helpful answered all my questions…. I wish every brake down was this fast loved the experience hear
