We have been with VPAC since 2020 and we’ve always received excellent care. The walk in sick clinic as well as immunization clinic have been so convenient and we have never had an issue being seen when needed. Both of my kids see Dr. Epstein and we love how caring, thorough, and knowledgeable she is. We’ve also seen many other providers who have been very professional. The nurses are also very prompt in returning calls through the advice line, which is very helpful!

I've been bringing my kids to this pediatric clinic since they were little, and we've consistently had positive experiences. The clinic is always clean and well-maintained, and I love that they offer a walk-in sick clinic for those urgent situations. The nurse line is incredibly helpful—they respond quickly and provide great guidance. Of course, in case of an emergency, it's always best to use emergency services.

The entire team of providers is fantastic, but I have to give a special shoutout to Dr. O'Mara. He's truly exceptional. He has a wonderful balance of being a kid at heart, with a great sense of humor, while knowing exactly when to switch gears and get serious. He really listens and takes the time to ensure that all concerns are addressed, making us feel valued and heard. Although he’s understandably in high demand, meaning there can be a wait, it’s always worth it. Once he's in the room, he focuses entirely on your child, giving them his undivided attention and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for.

I wholeheartedly recommend this clinic to any parent looking for compassionate, attentive, and reliable pediatric care. Dr. O'Mara and the team truly go above and beyond! Thank you for all that you do!

We have used Virginia Pediatric and Adolescent Center since 2003 for our sons’ medical needs. The care they have provided is superb. The doctors and NPs are thorough, kind, respectful, and excellent diagnosticians. The sick hours are flexible and the office staff helpful when making appointments. From infant to teenage visits our sons have benefitted from the center’s medical guidance and support. The kind and expert clinical team has helped us navigate all health issues - both big and small. We are grateful for their support and guidance.

I'm giving two stars because I actually like the doctors and nurse practitioners here. We've been coming here since 2013. Aside from good practicioners this place is a mess. The only way to schedule appointments is via phone with them. To get them on the phone is always a 10 minute plus wait. On top of that this is a pediatrician meaning kids are in school all day so maybe they should have appointments after school... Just a thought? The latest appointment in the day is 2:30 p.m. the last complaint is that my child takes a schedule 2 medication. Every time we go to the pharmacy they give us a hard time for bringing in a paper script. They want it faxed in but this office will not fax schedule 2 medications. Every other office I've talked to says they fax it but this office won't. Thankfully my kids are old enough now that we feel we can move to a general PCP's office. We're sick of jumping through hoops with this practice.

Our family has been at VPAC since 2013 and it has been a wonderful place for our kids. The doctors, nurses and office staff have always been kind, easy to communicate with and very professional. Since our first visits, the doctors and nurses took the time to talk with us and help ease our concerns. As our kids have gotten older they've shown them respect, understanding that they are individuals with feelings and concerns of their own. The sick clinic has been a great feature and has occasionally allowed us to squeeze in sick visits before work which is very nice for two working parents. We've never had an issue with billing or insurance, everything has always been managed correctly. Front office staff is friendly and willing to help. We are so happy we found this pediatric office, its a wonderful place!

We have been going to this practice for over 15 years and have had wonderful experiences and interactions with all of the doctors, nurses, and staff. I really like the walk in sick hours that they changed to during covid and have kept since. It’s incredibly convenient for working parents. I feel the doctors and nurses take the time to listen to any concerns and work hard to get to the bottom of any illnesses. We are very happy with this practice!

Absolutely terrible customer service. I am a firefighter and have decent insurance. I brought my child here for a sports physical and they billed me $110 for it. My child didn’t have a yearly physical that year and they decided to bill it as a sports physical which cost me out of pocket. Do the right thing for us hard working people and bill it as my yearly physical.

I was instructed to come in during walk in hours for this when I could have just scheduled an appointment for a yearly physical and you could have done the paperwork then. The paperwork which I also paid out of pocket for you to fill out.

Stay away from this place. It went here for years and always received bills in the mail from them. I would always ask if I owed money whenever I had an appointment for my kids and they denied I had a balance or a co-pay every time. Only to send me a bill in the mail later. I would gladly pay when ever I show up since I have FSA account specifically for this purpose.

As providers you should be ashamed of yourselves. I pay good money for the insurance I have and this sub-par customer service is a joke. I have seen people on Medicaid be treated 10 times better and they don’t pay a dime.
Do better.

I’ve found the VPAC staff, nurse, and doctors are very caring, patient, and willing to listen to me as the parent. The walk-in sick clinic with early hours and Saturday morning hours is so helpful, especially when kids are very young and still developing their immune systems and constantly sick. I highly recommend this practice!
