I have banked with Yakima federal for many years, but this year they destroyed that relationship. I went into the branch on 72nd ave in Yakima early on a midweek morning to withdraw cash to capitalize on a good deal purchasing a piece of equipment. I was not looking for a very large amount,<$10,000 ($8,200 to be exact) the teller Liz said they could not cover that cash withdrawal without ordering ahead and when I told her it was for a time sensitive cash purchase she demonstrated absolutely zero customer service in solving my problem. I explained that I would lose out on this purchasing opportunity and she didn’t offer any viable solution and just stood there blankly staring at me like it wasn’t her problem. I chose to order enough money to almost close out my accounts and it took them until 4:30pm that Friday to call and tell me my money was ready. So unless you value having your money held hostage for 3 business days and causing you to lose out on the ability to do business and have cash buying power I do not recommend doing any business with Yakima federal savings and loan. I know that I will not do any more with them than I absolutely have to until I can find a bank that will represent me and my needs. But to have a teller that has that complete lack of customer service and will let a customer stand there losing out on opportunity without even trying to solve their problem is absolutely disgraceful and if your bank takes three business days to get funds available you should probably find a different bank also

I used to LOVE this branch. The downtown branch. But the staff nowadays, who handle our money really don't care about the customer. Bottom line. Customers don't call looking for excuses, we look for answers. I do appreciate the friendliness at the 40th ave branch. I'll avoid the downtown branch from now on. When I call, I'll ask to be transferred to the better branch.

The final documents were deliver eon the date and time promised.

I really like the tellers here they are very helpful and friendly. I opened an account a couple of weeks ago and the next time I went in the same teller greeted me - remembered my name after only one interaction, that's some next level customer service! I love that they are local and not a big faceless corporation. Their CD rates are usually pretty competitive also. I would highly recommend.

I've been with this bank for 25 years and they have never let me down, these people go above and beyond to make things right for their customers. They know me by name, are fast, friendly, knowledgeable. This is my favorite bank of all time. It doesn't matter what time, what I'm doing, they get the job done! They are secure, and smart with my money. Excellent all the way around, I LOVE THIS BANK!! I like the app too.
