I wish I could add zero stars. I use to have a pleasant interaction with this office but lately depending on who you talk to is depending the answer you get definitely need new supervisors and people that actually know what they’re doing and they also have no concept of keeping track of paperwork and documentation

Coming from Newport News Im highly disappointed with Yorks Social Services. I'm just about ready to call it quits. If I pass away I want to make sure this is on record. Since my health scare in 2015 I have qualified for medical assistance because of the amount of care I will need for the rest of life. My medical assistance was cancelled at the end of October because the case worker obviously already had it made up in her mind that I was another brother trying to get over on the system. Since then I've had to take off work from both my full and part time job because I couldn't afford to pay for the medical assistance I needed and vitals were out of control. I ended up being released from the part time job and had to change from full time to part time with the other job. As I write this message I'm curled up sitting on my couch because of the pressure in my chest due to high blood pressure. I've reapplied for assistance now that my funds have been cut in half. Hopefully I'll hear something before it's to late.

It is unbelievable how these people operate. We moved to Richmond Rd in Williamsburg. So we went from James City to Williamsburg City to York county for foodstamps. Because where the is at we are York county now they want to transfer us to Williamsburg City where they told us we are York. I'm highly agitated and I'm about ready to sue. So sick of these people.

If you want kindness, please call this place. Ive had many issues with the Newport News location and I live closer to this one. I'm so happy when they help me, because i feel like i matter here. Plus, they have a wonderful garden outside that is just so lovely. I've never had any bad feelings of this place. Thank you, for making things easier💜

M WILLIAMS HAS NOT BEEN HELPFUL AT ALL? She hasn’t returned my phone calls all week and neither has her supervisor that I left a message for..I’m not sure the vetting policy here but they need to do better. It’s a bunch of confusion and the people working here obviously can’t handle their workload .
